New Leadership for a Better Town

Frank Gordon has led a distinguished career of over 25 years in the financial services sector. He got his start as a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche, and later spent several years as a Vice President of CS First Boston Corporation, based in New York City. From 1994 to 1997, Frank worked as an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, managing all aspects of structured finance transactions for Fortune 500 clients. More recently, Frank served as a Managing Director for BlackRock, Inc., where he was Chief Financial Officer of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation, a fund with over $900 million in assets.

Since his retirement in 2011, Frank has been active in the Harrison community. He has been an outspoken advocate for residents’ rights at Town Board and Zoning Board meetings and frequently contributed to the Harrison Review on issues of concern to residents. In 2016, Frank co-founded Harrison Residents for Gun-Free School Zones to oppose the opening of a gun shop in the heart of our community and to promote the enactment of a gun shop ordinance to ensure the safety of our residents. He is also a devoted supporter of the Harrison Public Library.

In November 2017, Frank ran for and won a seat on the Harrison Town Board. As a town board member, he is devoted full-time to improving the quality of life of all Harrison residents. He has proven to be an outspoken and effective advocate for residents’ problems and concerns. Frank applies the same principles of outstanding customer service that he learned in business to resident service.

Frank graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in 1983 with a degree in accounting and finance. He went on to earn dual graduate degrees – an MBA and a JD – from the University of Chicago.

Frank is an avid tennis player and, at age 58, maintains a belief that his game is improving. He frequents Harrison’s own Rye Racquet Club, but is also known to travel throughout Westchester for a good game. He happily resides in town with Ellen, the love of his life.
