Dear Harrison Residents,
Election Day is fast approaching. I’d like to take this one last opportunity to tell you about myself, and I’ll start at the very beginning: I’m Frank Gordon and I’m running for Mayor. Let me tell you why I’m running and why I’d like your vote on or before November 2nd.
I love Harrison. I think our town, given our top-ranked school system, home values, diversity and proximity to the city, is one of the best places to live in all of New York. And I believe that a strong local government can only improve what is already in place.
Secondly, and most importantly, I think my team and I can bring much needed change to the way things get done in this town. When it comes to local politics, Harrison has always been slow to change its ways. Over the years, this town has been accused of cronyism, favoritism and many other -isms. From what I’ve seen and heard as a town board member, some of this criticism is justified.
What I can promise if elected is that our processes – and our communication – will be transparent. That we will not try to hide anything from our residents. That we will address issues fairly and openly. Issues like how we’re going to work to mitigate flooding and improve infrastructure, how we’re making decisions on building and zoning issues, and how we will utilize alternative funding to ease our high tax burden.
These issues have a profound effect on you, your neighbors, your taxes, and the future of this town. You deserve to know about them and to have input before decisions are made.
Vote and make your voice heard. Don’t settle for the way things have always been. With your help, we can make Harrison even better. I hope that my team of Rachel Berkey, Adam Weiner and I have your support on or before November 2nd.
